Md. Abdus Samad, the honorable executive director of CCDA was born in 1951 at Alampur Putia village, Daudkandi, Cumilla. His father’s name was Sujat Ali. He finished his graduation and post-graduation at Dhaka University, where he was the VP of Surja Sen hall. He is a heroic freedom fighter. In 1971 he fought for the country.

In 1990 he started CCDA (Centre for Community Development Assistance) with one of his mates Sukumar Debroy at Adampur. From there CCDA is now a big and successful family with 102 branches and almost 4 million members.
