Agriculture is the key factor for the economic growth of the country. This sector has contributed to the
growth of comprehensive GDP both in direct and indirect ways. Almost 80% beneficiaries of the CCDA
are engaged in this sector. CCDA has given optimum importance to the development of the agricultural
sector with particular emphasis on the increase of food production to meet internal demand for the
beneficiary.
In addition, CCDA is extending training, technology and back stopping assistances for innovative
IGAs/enterprises such as rabbit & pig rearing, mushroom cultivation, fish cultivation, craft and dress
making, improved poultry production, cow and goat fattening/rearing etc in the working areas.
Emphasis is also given on providing skill training, marketing and networking assistance. In some areas,
clusters of similar entrepreneurs have been organized to promote the business of the entrepreneurs
living in contiguous areas.
